We’ve had some beautiful sunny days here in California, and I’m so excited to share this dragon fruit smoothie I’ve been enjoying for the past few days.

First of all, this is the creamiest smoothie in existence, thanks to the addition of the avocado and the magic of fat free a2 Milk® . I also added a couple of tablespoons of bee pollen and some chia seeds to bump up the nutritional value and protein content of my dragon fruit pitaya smoothie. Talk about a superstar nutritious breakfast to go, right ?!

I used raw organic honey to add a touch of sweetness, and a nice squeeze of lemon juice to balance it out, so there are absolutely zero yuckies allowed in here.

I already expressed my excitement for a2 Milk® in last month’s Chicken in Milk post, but boy am i glad that I can finally add milk to my smoothies again, the way nature intended.

a2 Milk® is the natural replacement to chemically processed alternatives, and the days of compromising taste and nutrition with inferior nut or bean based beverages – or worst yet, cutting out milk all together – are gone! Let’s toast to that with this to die for tropical Dragon Fruit Smoothie !

I also love that a2 Milk® comes from Certified a2 Cows and Family Owned Dairy Farms.  All those cows naturally produce milk with only the A2 protein. Also the farmers are certified in the humane treatment of animals, their cows are fed a vegetarian diet and never given hormones or rBST. Plus the milk is antibiotic free and contains no artificial ingredients or additives. How is that for going back to basics and wholesome ingredients ? I’m all about it !

Did you know that a2 Milk® is the only fluid milk on the US market that is guaranteed A1 protein free ? And all other forms of mammal’s milk, goat, sheep and human only contain the A2-type proteins.

Let’s talk a little bit about that gorgeous hot pink dragon fruit smoothie color! Are all the girls in agreement with me on this one ? We believe in pink and happiness, and lovely tropical fruity flavors! The perfect meal right here in a tall glass with a fun straw and sprinkled with bee pollen. Best part: if you have 5 minutes, you can make this smoothie any day!

I do suggest you enjoy this right away, or If you want to refrigerate it for later, the pitaya smoothie will start to thicken up due to the chia seeds. So you’ll have to add a splash of a2 Milk® right before serving to loosen it up and drink through a straw. Or just pour it into some popsicle molds and enjoy an amazing pitaya creamsicle later. But hey, also there’s nothing wrong with turning this gorgeous dragon fruit smoothie into a pudding. So grab a spoon and enjoy, maybe sprinkle some berries and nuts on top. In any case, major winner !
