Kauai Must See Before You Die
Staring out Into the horizon from my Lanai for this week, is what has to be one of the most amazing sights on earth. If there was a Paradise on Earth, this would be it: watching the sun set over Hanalei Bay on the magical North Shore of Kauai.
All I’m thinking is: what can I do to never leave, and make it last forever ?!
Of course I try to capture the moment with every step I take, yet even the most sophisticated of lenses is guaranteed to fail at capturing the incredible beauty my eyes can see.
A calm blue ocean with a tiny white sail boat, and a ball of fire gently descending from the sky kissing this Paradise goodnight with its fiery orange rays.
It’s impossible to choose the most amazing thing on Kauai, because as far as I’m concerned, you hit the jackpot by just landing here.
Everything around you is pristine and lush, just like a perfect photograph. You really are tempted to walk around touching leaves and grass just to convince yourself they are real. It’s that perfect !
I mean, have you ever caught a glimpse of the Napali Coast ? Have you ever seen teal waters so incredibly saturated, almost like a painter washed his brush in a jar of crystal clear water ?! And have you anchored at a tropical reef for a snorkel and swim with sea turtles and a school of exotic tropical fish ? A euphoric out of this world feeling, you will want to hold on to for as long as you live.
This is the place to go when you really wanna get away from it all, literally. Time does not seem to exist here until the moment you have to catch that plane back to reality. But please don’t do that until you catch a bird’s eye view of this wonder from a Helicopter. It does not matter how big you really are, how successful, rich and influential, I guarantee you will feel small hovering over this Paradise.
The food on Kauai is mostly organic if you shop at the farmers markets, or on the side of the road; Hawaiians don’t spray their crops but I’m not sure about the fertilizers they use … Otherwise be ready to pay more than double what you would at home for just conventional food supplies, and don’t expect much organic stuff in the grocery store.
Do your best to enjoy this romantic Paradise as much as you possibly can, it doesn’t get much better than Kauai. Just pull over on the side of the road on your way to Hanalei after a lazy beach day, after a snorkel at Tunnels beach, and grab yourself an organic smoothie, cold-pressed juice or an acai bowl from the new smoothie shack ” Kalalea Juice Hale ” an organic family business. WE THE PEOPLE can easily change the world by voting with our heard earned dollars and spending it at organic family owned businesses who respect this Planet and the people on it.
The other thing that screams PARADISE: There are absolutely no predators on Kauai. Imagine that! Except of course attack chickens running around wild, but hey someone’s got to be in charge ha!

P.S. On the downside: there’s a daily real fight against the big GMO companies that are tapping into the island’s water supply. The locals are trying hard to save Kauai and keep it a pristine Paradise; survive off of their organic fertile lands and bountiful ocean waters. As everywhere else on Planet Earth it seems money talks.
