Healthy Stir Fry Sauce Recipe

  • 1/2 c orange juice freshly squeezed
  • zest from 1 orange organic
  • 8 tbs soy sauce gluten free low sodium
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic grated
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp coconut flour
For the vegetarian stir fry:
  • 8 oz brown rice udon noodles cooked according to the package directions
  • 1 yellow bell pepper sliced
  • 8 oz wild mushrooms or your favorite kind
  • 4 inch scallions cut into 2 pieces
  • 1/3 lb snap peas
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 green onion thinly sliced
  • steamed broccoli optional
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1/2 c reserved pasta water
  1. In a small bowl whisk all of the stir fry sauce ingredients together until incorporated. Make sure there are no lumps from the flour. Taste and adjust seasonings to your liking.
  2. Stir fry all your vegetables and protein and transfer to a bowl.
  3. Add the stir fry sauce to the pan to deglaze it together with a good splash of the pasta water (the water you cooked the noodles in). Simmer until the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.
  4. Toss with the cooked noodles to coat well and add back the stir fried veggies and protein.
