Healthy Stir Fry Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

For the vegetarian stir fry:

  • 8 oz brown rice udon noodles cooked according to the package directions
  • 1 yellow bell pepper sliced
  • 8 oz wild mushrooms or your favorite kind
  • 4 inch scallions cut into 2 pieces
  • 1/3 lb snap peas
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 green onion thinly sliced
  • steamed broccoli optional
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1/2 c reserved pasta water

Instructions

  • In a small bowl whisk all of the stir fry sauce ingredients together until incorporated. Make sure there are no lumps from the flour. Taste and adjust seasonings to your liking.
  • Stir fry all your vegetables and protein and transfer to a bowl.
  • Add the stir fry sauce to the pan to deglaze it together with a good splash of the pasta water (the water you cooked the noodles in). Simmer until the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.
  • Toss with the cooked noodles to coat well and add back the stir fried veggies and protein.
